Tony is the owner and Optometrist. He graduated from Uni in 1985, qualified in 1986 and came to work at Eyeworks in 1991. He will always complete a thorough sight test and never rush a patient.

FUN FACT:  Tony is a keen cyclist.

Sally joined Eyeworks in 1992 and qualified as a dispensing optician in 1995. She loves shape and colour, encouraging people to wear exciting frames.

“It’s very important to listen to people’s needs and take time with them. I want to dispense a pair of specs that my customer will feel gorgeous wearing!”

FUN FACT: Sally enjoys art and natural history.

Bernd qualified as a Dispensing Optician in Germany in 1993, and moved to the UK in 2003. He has worked in the Independent Optical sector since then and in fact worked for Eyeworks between 2004 and 2007. He has now returned to Eyeworks permanently and enjoys dispensing spectacle frames and working in the lab.

FUN FACT: Bernd enjoys travelling and loves Classic Cars!

Wendy is a highly experienced Optical/Medical Receptionist, and has worked in the Optical sector for the last 13 years. She joined Eyeworks in January 2023 and has been a highly valued member of the team ever since.

FUN FACT: Wendy enjoys walking and gardening.

Julie began her career in optics in 1989 and joined Eyeworks in 2007. Julie is primarily our Technical Lab manager but also helps out on the shop floor, feeling happy to dispense and assist on reception.

FUN FACT: Through singing, Julie raises money for charity.

Enjoys chasing after a frisbee. Loves playing with the hose in the garden and models the latest specs on the ‘catdogwalk’.

FUN FACT: He’s a big fan of Robert De Niro.
